Use Cases
An order created in Order Management is broken down into fulfillment lines, which are then pushed to downstream systems using the Order Orchestration feature. The Order Orchestration setup for respective products is launched automatically. The Order Orchestration Callout step calls the Mule app with the order json payload.
When the Mule app is deployed via the Mulesoft Direct for Salesforce Communications Cloud, the system automatically creates a named credential that abstracts the callout from Order Orchestration to the Mule app.
In the Order Orchestration callout step:
- The Order Orchestration callout step is configured with the async System Interface.
- The path is set as \api\serviceOrder.
- The System is set as Named Credential.
